Dr. Laura Sanders is a licensed psychologist (LP) and certified school psychology, holding a PhD from Texas Women’s University with a specialization in school neuropsychology. Dr. Sanders practiced as a school psychologist in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for seven years, then built a thriving private practice, DFW Assessment, PLLC, in the area. Her experience also includes building and teaching college courses and providing supervision and mentoring for the next generation of assessment clinicians as well as working with community agencies like the Texas Department of State Health Services MHMR division.
After several years working in the DFW Metroplex, Dr. Sanders decided to move her practice to the Northern Colorado area to be closer to family. Establishing Northern Colorado Assessment Center in 2019, Dr. Sanders is proud to offer families in Fort Collins, Windsor, and surrounding communities a range of assessment, consultation, and reporting services. If you’re a parent looking for educational and developmental testing for your child, Dr. Sanders is here to help you with a personalized assessment plan. She wants to help every client understand their strengths and weakness to maximize strengths and overcome struggles. This includes diagnosis, practical recommendations for ongoing support, and other services as necessary.
Outside of her assessment practice, you’ll find Dr. Sanders spending time with her husband and children. She enjoys singing with the Larimer Chorale Society. Dr. Sanders also enjoys reading, swimming, watching movies, and spending time relaxing with family and friends.
